So Cal Vacation

We had an eventful vacation to Southern California. It is always fun to go home and visit friends and family.

We started our vacation at the Huntington Beach Pier having breakfast with Ryan, Beth, Scott, Ami and their kids. We missed you Chris and Lynsey! We happened to go on one of the busiest mornings- it was the last day of the surf competition.

We also had Bird Family Portraits taken on the beach. Linda and Wayne's family has grown a lot since their last family picture! Here are a few snapshots that Scott and Ami took for us while we were waiting for our turn with the photographer.

I loved seeing my sister and her little girls. We were with Sue during the earthquake. She was so calm and helped me clear my kids away from the glass. Ellie declared that she didn't want to go to the restaurant we were at during the earthquake ever again!

SO SAD... I guess I didn't take any pictures of my cousin and his wonderful wife and kids or my brother and his wonderful wife and kids! Oh my, or our Great Grandma/pa Haney and Grandma Bird or Grandma/pa Bird. Oh my- YIKES- chalk it up to exhaustion! But we sure had fun with them.

On our way home, our poor little Ellie was sick throwing up and Emily and Matthew were enjoying the scent! Here is a picture of what we saw one time when we had to stop for a barf break- a herd of elk. Okay, I think it is elk- Brandon is not here for me to ask!

During this vacation we decided to take the kids to the fun places of Orange County. The posts below include pictures of our visits to Disneyland and Sea World.
