Wes, the tree swing and a meaningful gift

My nephew Weston is my buddy. Actually, ask anyone in our family in Fallon and they will say that Weston is their buddy. He is one loved kid. On Sunday he was outside playing on the playset and tree swing with Kylie, Payton, Ellie, Emily, and Grandma when he invented this thrilling new trick... take the tree swing up into the playset and swing off of the top of the slide. I saw him doing this and thought that is scary and I named it the Ky-Wes move since he and Kylie invented it.

Fast forward a few hours later... everyone in the family was outside doing the Ky-Wes move. This included the adults too!! Well a couple of hours into the excitement, thrill, and laughs we had a little accident. Wes was waiting his turn to do the Ky-Wes move and out of the blue fell off of the playset. So sad :(

To make a long story short little Wes spent the night in 2 ER's and finally in the middle of the night had emergency surgery on his broken elbow. Which brings me to this lovely picture ...






Weston gave me this when he came home from his hospital stay. He asked his mom if they had one and she said yes. So, his kind little heart thought of me and gave me his little hospital treasure. I love it Wes and next time you come you will see it is getting great use in Ellie and Emily's kitchen :)
