4th OF JULY
Our family spent the 4th of July campaigning for our favorite candidate. My brother Tom Stockard is running for District Court Judge. Here are some pictures of Tom's booth. Check out his web site to find out why he is a great candidate! Can you tell who will get my vote?!?
AND THEN LATER IN JULY WE DID SOME CRAZY THINGS. . .
The tire swing was reinstalled with metal chains. So that meant Brandon had to climb back up the huge tree again. Here is how it did it- no exaggerating. He took the big ladder and put it on the ground, climbed up. Not so bad! Well, then he pulls a second ladder (which is standard size 6 feet) up into the tree with a rope. He pushes it in between to limbs and then precedes to climb it so that he can get really high into the tree. Then he shimmies up a little higher and cat walks out on a limb. I was a nervous wreck. Ryan and Brad were there- thank goodness. I made Ellie go inside so she wouldn't witness Brandon falling- just in case he did.
Literally, a bird in a tree!
Brandon SURVIVED the tree swing reinstallation!
OTHER STUFF
And then there is my Emmy who like my other 2 kids is near perfect in my eyes! She went on a walk with Lauren. She refused to get into the stroller and insisted that she push her baby Emmy in the doll stroller.
Ellie and Weston have birthdays close together. So, before Wes and his family went home to California we sang happy birthday to our Twiddle Dees!
How can you resist this little man? He is so precious, happy, and just plain wonderful. His first tooth came in on Father's Day and within one month he has gotten a total of 4! He loves to eat and get really messy and he is showing a dislike for bibs! He rips them off.
MONOPOLY- Well, this will go down as the summer of Monopoly. Several times a week Ryan, Tommy, and Brandon disappear from civilization and play the most intense games of Monopoly ever. Let's just say the money has been handled so much that it had to be ironed so that it lays flat and the competitors cannot see what money you have compiled. Often during the games there is screaming, laughing, and an occasional growl. Wow- don't agree to play unless you bring your A-game with you.

What a summer you've had! Your fun trips, cute kids doing all kinds of adorable things, busy campaigning, and of course, monopoly! How different that game would be if it was the girls playing with you!
